This program works as a complement for instant messaging applications. It allows you to record your conversations and play them back later. It works seamlessly with Microsoft MSN, YahooMessenger, Skype and any other IM program, as it simply intercepts the audio in/out signal and records it.
However, the program owes its name to another great function. The application lets you send voice emotions, like IM emoticons. There is a list of different emotions, like laughing, whistling, snoring, screaming and many more. Afetr you click on a particular emotion, the sound is immediately reproduced through your interlocutor’s speakers. In addition, you can insert background effects and music to your conversations, or use the text to speech feature, which allows you to speak without opening your mouth. The program also keeps a list of your recorded conversations. Therefore, you can revise your old conversations and relive those good old chats once again!
The sound quality of the recorded conversations should be mentioned. They are recorded in mp3 format at the sampling rate of 48000 Hz, twice as much as recommended by specialists. The program has a very friendly interface and is available in English, Chinese, German and Italian.
vEmotion is presented in three different editions: Basic, Standard and Advanced (or Golden). The Basic edition provides all the functionality you may need. However, the standard edition offers additional features such as saving records without human intervention, letting you choose among 10 different mp3 bitrate options and password-protecting your recorded conversations. Finally, the Advanced edition offers many other features that will be necessary only if you are planning to use the program in a professional environment. It can run in background stealth mode to avoid detection. It also has tools for eliminating blanks and noises. Finally, Freebird offers priority support for the Advanced edition.
